This is such a late review, but I don't give a shit because this movie kicked some serious scary ass. Film director M. Night Shyamalan once again brings to life a creepy and memorable story that is sure to make you look at the elderly in a very different way.
A brother and sister go to visit their long estranged (from their mother) grandparents. The teenage girl is an aspiring documentarian and the younger brother is a funny little guy who enjoys rap and substituting female pop singers for cuss words ("Oh Shakira!").
Grandma & Grandpa seem nice. They live on a farm. Homemade cookies and flannel shirts and...diapers? Running through the house naked, scratching on the walls, pounding on the doors? I literally felt like I needed a diaper once the madness started.
This was a legit scary film with twists and turns and some all out screaming moments. The storyline was unique and had you captured almost at once. Well done! Finally a movie that my wife enjoyed and that made our son pee his pants a little.
Find The Visit - Trailer, make yourself some cookies, sit down and cuddle up, because these grandparents are going to haunt your dreams for weeks to come.
